This was a rather Artsy event, and i thoroughly enjoyed watching a performance group, by the name of ''wayang sth'' ( below, in B 'n' W ) doing their stunts! oh my god!
it's really damn dangerous! And i was not only worried for them, i was worried about the orb of REAL FIRE being flung towards anyone amongst the audience! OMG! CHOY CHOY CHOY! YES. WE COULD EVEN SMELL THE FIRE! i saw one guy trying to reposition himself properly as he's afraid to get himself too near the stage.
These works were done by Laselle students, highly creative, and these caught my eye! Yes, i lurve Artsy Fartsy stuff! Yah, I've always liked La-selle students' works- very unrestrained, highly creative and extremely edgy. Most importantly, they always look individualistic-every art-work seem to portray their very own individualistic personalities- be it, fun, melancholic, quiet and gentle or sophisticated.
In the past, as a student, i really get to do what i like, design whatever i like to design, coz i get to decide on the target audience ( i'm forever choosing ''youths''! ) and materials. But when i go out to the working world, it's an entirely different story- I realise that we gotta design to solve solutions, and not for our own pleasure. hahaha. So now, u got ONE OF THE answers to your question about ''why is it so stressful since it's only designing, and u told us that u like it! it should be fun for you wad!'' The other answers would not be written here as they can get rather sensitive! hahaha! Secretive Information should not be let out easily, should be revealed with seduction. ah huh! *winkwink* hahaha. KIDDING!
So ask me personally again! And then there are many people who slam design and say that it's very easy, and i wish for the day that you put them in the working world, ask them to design something, MAKE SURE IT SELLS!, design advertisements and do FA ( make them take note that even small details like the ''TM ( trademark ) font size is the specific size, make sure the leading and all are visually pleasing ), make sure that there is balance in layout, make sure they proceed with changes ACCURATELY, if not they have to stay back late or even stay overnight, ensure the production goes smoothly, and let's see what they can produce- since after-all, THEY SAID designing was easy and that they could design without training. Well, everything seems easy when u're not dealing with it. Ah la la la la, easy easy, then u do lah! TAlk so much, action bay le only la! HAHAHAHAH.
And words come cheap. Actually, yah lah, i shouldn't bother myself talking to such people man. My health is more important. Tell u a secret. Sometimes i feel like using printed permanent ink to smear all over their faces man, and use ping-pong balls and Chilli Padi to shut their mouths! hahaha. Yah, i'm damn scary one, sometimes when i'm damn stressed, i would feel like swinging the keyboard outta the window. So don't sit beside me when i'm stressed, if not i might swing u outta the window too! Whee!
Okay, back to colours and type and all- Imagine usage of screaming bright and loud Chor Lor typography for a niche target audience, or psychedelic colours for a matured target audience? hahah. Would be plain weird rite! Alamark! Auntie, Uncle see also would SCREAM man!
I din bring my digicam along, used my handphone cam to take these pictures becoz i was rushing out to help out at the IDA event, 2nd day, in the morn, till evening. hahaha. Actually, i almost forgot that we arranged to go for this artsy event for fun too. My Scatter -brains!

i realised that i'm not young anymore. and i realised that i have been slacking a lot! Not working hard enough to achieve wad i wanted initially. So i'm gonna fully make use of my time properly from now on! Today till the end of the month, i'm gonna fully utilize my time and improve on my skills and all. i'm running out of time!
Someone taught me something today. ''Don't compare yourself with the worst, compare yourself with the best. And be the best. And believe that u can be the best. And don't juz believe that u have the passione, u gotta show it through your production that u have the passione.''
What happened to the fully-motivated, very-driven SHerry in the past? Maybe she had lost the drive in between her hectic schedule, but she's gonna find her drive back just very soon!
I've always thought that i was pretty hard-working, but i realise today, that i have been very lazy!----or not hardworking enough. Coz there would always be people who are way more hardworking than u! And plus, with their talent and hardwork,and YOUTH, their production would be really good! So now, i really gotta fully utilize my time properly! I'm running out of time! i gotta catch up! C'ya later!
